If you look to the right… there is a pretty big gap between January 2005 and February 2007. What happened during this time? Below is a list of bullet points describing some of the highlights of the past two years (in no particular order)
- got diagnosed with a learning disability that allowed me to take Spanish 1 instead of Spanish 3. This helped me graduate college.
- became a certified bartender in Baltimore, MD (Bartending classes)
- bartended at two different hotel bars, a few weddings, a night club, and an Indian resturaunt
- bartended during a Shriners convention, fireman’s convention, and a lunch-ladies’ convention
- burned the shit out of my hand blowing fireballs in my apartment
- lived in Hampden, Baltimore for one summer
- got a Flybar 1200 pogo-stick for my birthday from a handsome guy named Howie (if you saw either the stick or the guy you’d know why this is worth mentioning)
- graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in Television Production and minors in English and Marketing
- moved to Washington Heights in January of 06
- Discovered that my roomate makes wigs and hairpieces for go-go dancers at Crobar and some of the biggest drag queens in New York (including Amanda Lepore)
- Bought a new queen size mattress
- Discovered that mattresses are like used-cars… you can haggle over the price
- Got pnuemonia and coughed up blood for the first time ever
- Moved to Brooklyn where I currently reside in a large housewith 6 roomates
- Threw several large parties where my guests enjoyed themselves
- Got a job as a production asst. at a large advertising agency
- Painted my bedroom
- quit and started smoking several times
- joined a gym. they have a pool there I like to swim in.
- met Michel Gondry and Kal Penn (Kumar from Harold and Kumar)
- bought a new bicycle for my 24 birthday. It’s a Trek and pretty nice
- joined the Museum of Modern Art
- went on several first dates
- reunited with some long lost cousins
- met my grandmother for the first time ever
- reunited with another long lost cousin
- started collecting sneakers
- one of my nephews was born. did I mention I have three nephews?
- I came out to my parents
- and so much more
